Visit to The Pediatric Ward of Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
During the festive season in December 2005, Courts organized a visit to the paediatrics ward at the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital to distribute goody bags to the children who were also entertained by a magical clown and enjoyed a hand and face painting as well as story-telling session

Rumah Ceriaku- Shopping day at Bata
Courts recently brought some 'back-to-school' joy to the children under the umbrella of Courts Rumah Ceriaku campaign. The children were hosted to a shopping trip to the Bata Clearance Centre in Klang to select school shoes for the new school term. A total of 270 children from seven adopted homes joined the Bata 'sojourn', which was organized by Courts' seven Klang Valley outlets.

  Make a date -to- donate

With the school holidays and the festive season being the most challenging periods to stock up on blood, the National Blood Bank was delighted when more than 40 Courts Berhad (Courts ) associates answered the call to donate blood on December 6th 2005.

Courts is one of the NBB's staunchest supporters. To date, we have jointly organized five blood drives, all of which have been successful as the Company always makes it easy and convenient for our staff from the Klang Valley stores and warehouses to participate.

  Blind leading the blind

Another CSR project that saw Courts' involvement is the Lions Club Sight First Project helmed by the Petaling Jaya Lions Club. Besides financial assistance, Courts rallied a team to participate in the 'Blind leading the blind' charity walk held in early March 2005. The Lions Club Sight First Project provides financial assistance to defray the surgery costs for needy patients who require urgent cataract and other sight impairment surgery.

In recognition of Courts' contributions, the Company was presented the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award; the highest form of recognition conferred by the foundation, which honours Melvin Jones, the founder of Lions Club International. The fellowship represents humanitarian qualities such as generosity, compassion and concern for the less fortunate.
