COURTS MALAYSIA DONATES RM4000 WORTH OF FURNITURE TO HELP ORPHANAGE USHER IN RAYA WITH GOOD CHEER
The leading retailer brought joy to 30 children as they donated furniture in conjunction with Hari Raya festivities
Kuala Lumpur, 12 June 2019– In the spirit of celebrating the Syawal with the needy ones, the leading consumer retailer of IT, electronics and furniture, COURTS Malaysia, brought some Raya cheer to children as they donated essential furniture to the Baitun Nurrawdhah Home of Budimas Charitable Foundation which serves 30 children.
The donation is part of the retailer’s Rumah Amal COURTS programme, which was launched in 2015. In line with its commitment to give back to the communities it operates in, COURTS presented 10 pieces of furniture and home essentials to the home including bunk beds, single mattresses, cabinets and more. COURTS aims to provide needed home products to enable the children to celebrate Raya with good cheer. The event also saw children playing many games with the volunteers and COURTS members in a fun-filled session and a great opportunity to engage with the guardians of the home.

The event also ties back to COURTS’ year-long ‘Sumbangan Memupuk Perpaduan’(Everyday Malaysians, Together) campaign, where COURTS Malaysia sells branded tote bags across all stores, the proceeds of which go to empowering and helping underprivileged children at the Budimas Charitable Foundation.
As an organisation that prioritises the welfare of the communities it operates in, COURTS continues its ongoing commitment to help and provide the less fortunate with a better quality of life. To date, the charitable contributions made through Rumah Amal COURTS have totalled over RM700,000 and have reached over 120 homes and communities nationwide. The programme aims to provide basic household necessities, such as furniture and electrical items, to homes in need.
