COURTS Malaysia Launches EZ Payment-i: Empowering Civil Servants with Shariah-Compliant Financial Solutions

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah — COURTS Malaysia officially celebrated the reopening of COURTS Karamunsing with a vibrant and well-attended event, reflecting Sabah’s rich cultural heritage, supported by key business partners and stakeholders.

Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, 20th December 2024 – Courts (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd proudly hosted the launch of its latest Shariah-compliant initiative, EZ Payment-i, a groundbreaking program designed to provide financial relief and empowerment to civil servants. Recognizing the significant role civil servants play in the development of the nation, the program offers tailored financial solutions to help them manage their commitments responsibly while adhering to Shariah principles. The event, held at COURTS Setapak, was graced by esteemed guests and partners, highlighting Courts Malaysia’s commitment to fostering financial inclusivity and supporting the well-being of civil servants.

The ceremony commenced at 10:00 AM with the arrival of the Honoured Guests, followed by Doa recitation to bless the occasion. The keynote address was delivered by Sam Chee Foo, Commercial Director of Courts Malaysia, who highlighted the program’s benefits and how it empowers civil servants by offering flexible, Shariah-compliant financial solutions coupled with Takaful protection.

Courts’ strategic partner, Astro, represented by Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Tai Kam Leong, emphasized the collaborative efforts between the two companies to support Malaysians in achieving financial stability. This includes the newly launched Astro One packs, which offer easy and affordable streaming content for Malaysian families. In addition, any customers who sign up for Astro at Courts until 31st December will receive a RM300 Courts voucher for home appliances.

The event reached its peak with an inspiring address by YBrs. Dr. Muhamad Razak Bin Idris, the Political Secretary to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs). He commended Courts Malaysia’s dedication to aligning business initiatives with values that uphold the principles of Shariah while addressing the financial needs of the nation’s civil servants.

The official launch was marked by the striking of a gong, symbolizing the commencement of EZ Payment-i. Following the launch, tokens of appreciation were presented to the honored guests in recognition of their support and contributions to the event.

Adding a touch of entertainment, renowned Malaysian artist Asmawi Ani (Mawi) captivated the audience with his performance, creating a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere. The event concluded with a media interview session and light refreshments, providing an opportunity for networking and further discussions about the program.

EZ Payment-i is a Shariah-compliant installment plan designed specifically for civil servants. The program offers tailored financial solutions, including Takaful protection, enabling customers to manage their finances responsibly while adhering to Islamic principles.
