brand new one-stop shopping experience to the Tawau community. Its fifth outlet in Sabah, COURTS Tawau

COURTS Tawau is the retailer’s first new store opening in FY19/20 (April 2019-March 2020). The retailer also plans to rejuvenate and refurbish one-third, or 15, of its 54 stores across the country this FY. Spanning nine shop lots, COURTS Tawau opens in the up and coming Kubota Bintang commercial district and is located at the ground floor of the Pusat Komersial building. The spacious layout displays and retails a wide range of specially curated IT and electrical products and inspirational furniture and lifestyle collections.
COURTS Tawau officially opened to customers with a festive lion dance, as well as exciting opening deals including discounts of up to 50% off electrical and furniture products and exclusive door bargains starting from RM1. The store has been specially designed to place the spotlight on the products, providing ample space and a clear, unobstructed view of the whole retail space to enable customers to browse at leisure and comfort.
Customers were greeted by new in-store retail concepts from leading brands such as Huawei, LG, Samsung and Sony, showcasing the latest in mobile, computing, gaming, IT accessories and wearables for all home and lifestyle needs. A range of trusted small and large home appliances from leading brands such as Panasonic and Philips, as well as COURTS’ exclusive in-house range MILLE, complete their home. An immersive entertainment concept featuring the latest 4K and OLED TV models, as well as value entry-level models, rounds off the home theatre shopping experience.
COURTS’ latest furniture collections is on full display in curated lifestyle settings to make it easy for shoppers to visualise and get inspiration for their dream home across their living, dining and bedding spaces. Offering sofa and lounge pieces from popular and established names Silentnight and Nicollo, COURTS Tawau features imported fabric and solid wood options with something for every living room. For those keen on a good night’s sleep, COURTS carries trusted names such as the Dreammaker range, East Malaysia’s largest bedding manufacturer, bringing their mattresses and signature value prices of below RM1,000 to its Tawau store.

Donated items included a washer, refrigerator, shelving and kitchen appliances. Customers can also do their part by participating in COURTS’ ongoing year-long ‘Sumbangan Memupuk Perpaduan’ (Everyday Malaysians, Together) campaign, where reusable tote bags are sold for RM5 at all its stores including Tawau – the proceeds of which go to empowering and helping underprivileged children at the Budimas Charitable Foundation.
To date, COURTS Malaysia has donated over RM700,000 and reached over 120 homes and communities nationwide through its signature Rumah Amal COURTS programme. The programme aims to provide basic household necessities, such as furniture and electrical items, to homes in need.
